Before the Morning

We said goodbye to our son yesterday.

Unbelievable pain.

Caleb and Marlys turned the radio on during the drive from the funeral home to the church and this song was playing.

We're trying to dare to believe. Keep lifting us up! We love you all so much.

Thank You Jesus for the gift of four months with Gabe.

  1. Oh, Hayley! What a powerful song... and the video with it is just about perfect. My hearts hurts with yours. You're on my mind so often, and I lift you to the Father...

I'm fighting along side you for belief and faith and trust in Jesus alone.

  4. Did he die of SIDS, or was he ill? I'm so sorry again. Forgive me for being noisy. I'm just in shock. I pray your husband was home and didn't have to go on this call.

  5. The last guy kneeling looked like Daniel and the girl with her head down and hands cupped upward looked like you. I don't think that was an accident. I have prayed that God would send me "Gabe's Song" when He especially wanted me to pray for you...been singing/praying nonstop. I did the same thing with aunt Janet and uncle Jim, except theirs' was when I did laundry.
You are loved. I pray His peace over you today. Lamentations promises new faithfulness given to us every day.
    Love you,
    Carolyn

  6. "Before the Morning" is such an awesome healing song.

If you're looking for more, a few that are on my "angel baby" playlist are:

    - "Glory Baby" by Watermark
    - "Held" by Natalie Grant
    - "Safe" by Phil Wickham
    - "Borrowed Angels" by Kristin Chenoweth

Again, so sorry for your loss. Sending continuous prayers your way.

Psalms 34:18 "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

Matthew 5:4 "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted."

  7. Dear Hayley,

I believe there is no such thing as coincidence. You heard that song because God wants to remind you that he knows your pain and although it will take a little time one day you'll see the bigger picture.

Love you so much Hayley and I'm praying for you and for Daniel.
